Megan has a keen eye for detail and has a passion for helping clients live a more functional and beautiful life in their homes.

After college and while raising young babies, she began her career in Sioux Falls at a small studio and retail space. She then became an independent designer specializing in new construction and remodeling. The push for her own design practice was built out of a need to find a balance between being a young mom, wife, and a businesswoman.

Nila Braun is Lead Designer + Owner of Purpose Interior Design in Dakota Dunes, SD. Purpose is a full-service design studio designing homes from concept to completion. We create custom interiors for new builds and renovations that will stand the test of time. We have streamlined a process to simplify the development of your project. Additionally, we bear the weight of design and construction.

Nila will navigate each step of the design process with her team of designers, taking you along with us through floor plan development, interior renderings, drawings, and elevations. We specialize in furniture selections, space planning, window treatments, styling, cabinetry, and communication with contractors. In addition, we take great pride in our white-glove installations.

Nila obtained her Interior Design degree in 2017 and has experience in every area of the design field; furniture, cabinetry, floorplan development, and more.

I was the kid who was up in the middle of the night, moving furniture around my room so a career as an interior designer was a natural fit.

After completing my undergraduate at the U of MN, I went back to Interior Design school in Minneapolis and had a successful design career there for 10 years. I worked for a luxury custom builder learning all about new home design, remodel planning and renovations. When my daughter, Kate, was born I came back to my South Dakotan roots.

With almost 30 years experience under my belt now, I can say coming back was a good move. My clients become friends and projects are more personal. I love creating beautiful homes that are done well and yet still down to earth. I am adamant that feeling good in your environment sends you out into the world confidently. Owner and principal designer Amanda Buell is a native of Sioux Falls. Her career and personal life after college took her to Seattle, New York City, the San Francisco Bay Area, and London before returning home. Amanda combines her passion for art, architecture, and beautiful things with a background in financial analysis and an MBA from Stanford University. Amanda specializes in remodeling homes, from historic to 90s builder grade.

Sarah has been passionate about interior design from a young age. Born and raised in Minnesota, Sarah moved to South Dakota for a bachelor's degree in interior design at SDSU. After graduating, she moved back to MN where she managed a high-end custom furniture and lighting showroom. However in 2017, South Dakota called her back and she became the first member and designer of the DH Team. She brought her unique vision, expertise in furnishings, and passion. Sarah has designed numerous local commercial spaces, amassing a diverse and expanding client base, among which is Lloyd Companies.

With a trained eye and experience in both residential and commercial projects, Sarah has mastered the art of making the design process both enjoyable and educational for her clients. She strikes a perfect balance between creativity and a welcoming approach, ensuring that each project reflects her clients' personalities and needs.

Dawn’s Designs is owned and operated by Dawn Boer, an interior designer with over 11 years experience. Dawn offers professional services for commercial and residential projects while guiding her clients every step of the way. She creates a fun and engaging experience by allowing clients to express their unique style choices while adding her expert guidance. From determining paint colors and backsplashes to selecting flooring and furniture layout, Dawn has extensive knowledge in all things interior and exterior design.
